Yes, I haven’t posted in a while. But in my defense, I’ve been writing and editing and bashing my head against the keyboard until I see stars and birdies. And slowly, I’m getting a handle for how to structure my stories.
I have set aside my first two novels (the ones written during NaNoWrimos 2007 and 2008) as practice novels and have begun writing a new novel. This one marks a new direction. Unlike my practices novels, which are literary, my new novel is paranormal and is set in Sedona, AZ. I’m also working on a short story about a transwoman.
I didn’t win the writing contest held by my local writer’s group. No word back yet on the stories I submitted to Glimmer Train or Georgia Review.
Also, I hope you like the new blog name.
I'm game for anything with Monkey in the title..really.lol.

I am totally excited for Desert Witch, but I was indeed wondering about how you were onto a new project already.
I hope you don't give up on the others, but I can see maybe you need some time away and writing a new novel for a bit should give ya that.
