From a practical standpoint, my business mentors are telling me to blog about subjects of interest to small business owners, especially entrepreneurs. While their advice is well taken, I have no interest in dispensing the standard small business advice, blabbing about handling difficult customers or putting together a marketing plan.

I’d rather share what I do know about–namely, overcoming fear and negatively while cultivating love and peace. After all, my name Dharmashanti means “the Divine Law of peace”. But there are a lot of blogs talking about that and doing so doesn’t necessarily help attract clients (not that THAT is my only motivation for blogging).

After some meditation and listening to my Higher Power, I have decided to create a blog that focuses on the intersection of these two subjects: business and spirituality, especially Buddhist, New Thought and New Age spiritual practices.

So often we try to compartmentalize these two subjects (as if they were matter and anti-matter), fearful that if they touch, they will annihilate the universe. Or maybe we struggle with the morality of wanting to be financially successful. Therefore, I want to explore this confluence of meeting physical, financial and spiritual needs.
